I MADE and self-published a BOOK!
Well really, it should say, WE MADE. You see during the pandemic my best friend and I had some time on our hands. So I reached out to her to see if she was up for helping me with a lifelong dream: being published. Of course she said YES, I mean how could she not. Peanut and I presented her some pretty big puppy dog eyes. Now I wont lie, self- publishing is no sunshine and rainbows affair. I understand now why one pays publishers the big bucks. In the end though, I have never been more proud and to have accomplished such with my best-friend makes this milestone that much more memorable.
So how did we do it? Well if you can believe it, the book was created via email and ZOOM since we had a pandemic on our hands. Then to make the physical copies we ran a successful Kickstarter Campaign. I still can't believe it worked. So many campaigns never hit their goal. I was beyond overwhelmed with the support that was given to us at such a time. So much so that at the end of the book we put the names of those those who helped us!
